In-Machine Processing
A cornerstone of our manufacturing competence at Mursix has been the ability to incorporate a number of different processes into our presses and multislide machines. We have made a significant investment in expanding the functionality of these machines in order to eliminate discrete secondary operations, reduce unnecessary part handling and, ultimately, to lower customer costs.
As a result, we have developed a unique, versatile production system that allows us to perform such processes as drilling, tapping, threading, slotting, reaming, countersinking, and contact insertion as part of the basic part production process. Prefabricated parts can be hoppered, positioned and assembled to the stamping being made in the machine. This in-machine processing capability affords our designers an almost unlimited opportunity for the development of components at lower piece part cost.
