Contact Staking

The ability to perform accurate, high-speed staking of contacts onto metal stampings enables us to provide millions of electrical and electronic assemblies to the appliance, automotive, industrial and other markets every year. In fact, in a typical year, we will insert more than 100 million contacts of various sizes and compositions.

Mursix pioneered the development of in-die contact staking and has continued to improve this process with fiber optic and load cell technology to verify critical dimensional characteristics and to ensure that contacts are seated with no air gaps present. We have more than thirty machines equipped to perform in-die contact insertion. We also have the ability to insert contacts as a secondary semi-automatic operation when required.
