Prototyping
Simply stated, the purpose of prototyping is to achieve confidence in the integrity of the design. At Mursix, we consider prototypes to be valuable design communication tools that allow us to evaluate form, fit and function; verify CAD data; facilitate the early detection and correction of design flaws; and, ultimately, protect product quality. Our computer-aided engineering software allows us to work with customer-generated math data to rapidly generate prototypes, as well as quotes, concepts, and tool designs. Ultimately, this results in reduced time-to-market.
Our prototyping process is designed to ensure that our prototypes are production representative. In addition to matching the part print, they are formed in exactly the same way that a permanent production tool will form them. This approach has allowed us to eliminate product launch "false starts".
